About PackLog Base

PackLog Base, or PLB, is a base camp for keeping your outdoor gear, experiences, and memories as your own history. It is a place to build an Outdoor History you can return to again and again by layering Gear, Packs, Diary, Field Logs, mountains, campgrounds, and trip trails.

Why PLB Exists

PLB began from a small wish: making backpack weight easier to calculate. But once you start recording gear, there is always an experience beyond it. Where did you go? What did you carry? What was the weather like, what did you feel, and what do you want to remember?

PLB is not just a gear management app. It is both a toolbox for your next preparation and a field notebook for storing memories after you return.

Record

Save Gear and Packs. Capture small moments with Diary. Keep the story of hikes and camps with Field Log.

Accumulate

Even small records become a personal map of your outdoor life as time passes.

Look Back

Past Packs, photos, weather, tracks, and notes help you make better decisions for your next trip or hike.

Who PLB Is For

PLB is for people who want to keep their own outdoor life, from hiking, camping, travel, car camping, photography, walks, and small everyday time outside. You do not need to write impressive records. One photo, a short Diary note, or a simple gear entry is enough.

PLB is built so both people who want to share useful records and people who want to keep everything private have a place here.

Share, or Do Not Share

PLB is not trying to be a social network. The center of PLB is not posting, reactions, or likes. It is recording, accumulating, and looking back. Sharing is welcome, but records you never share have the same value.

Private notes kept for yourself are real records even if nobody else sees them. If you choose to publish something, that record may naturally help someone else prepare or decide. That distance is the kind of sharing PLB values.

Respecting User Data

Gear, Packs, Field Logs, Diary, GPX tracks, saved mountains, and campgrounds are not disposable app data. They are the user's own outdoor records. PLB values protecting private data as private, handling location and sharing scope carefully, and making records portable over time.

The data belongs to the user. PLB handles it not to lock it inside the service, but to help it remain available and retrievable when needed.

About AI

PLB may use AI, but AI is not the main character. It is a tool for reducing the work of organizing gear information and searching. The user's own experience is what gives records meaning.

AI prepares the ground; people grow the forest. PLB is the base camp for nurturing that forest.

PLB is an app for keeping outdoor records.

You go out through gear, experience places, save photos, tracks, and diary notes, then look back on them as memories.

Those layers become your Outdoor History.
